Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a WordPress Developer, you will setup and maintain WordPress environments; complete monthly plugin maintenance on WordPress CMS, for essential security and 'bug' fixes; and utilise and improve plugin/component library. You will also work closely with clients on technical issues, providing training and support on CMS systems as needed.

Skills Required:

  • 5 years' development experience – either freelance or agency-based.
  • A strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, jQuery and MySQL databases.
  • Good knowledge of WooCommerce ecommerce development.
  • Good knowledge of responsive web development.
  • Good knowledge of web standards and cross-compatibility.
  • Ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable experience or knowledge of:

  • Additional coding languages and database platforms.
  • Additional web/e-commerce platforms.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Understanding of UX best practices.
