The Automation Engineer will oversee the design, programming, and maintenance of control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role ensures efficient plant operations through automation technologies such as PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs, while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation systems
    for water treatment processes including filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), and ultrafiltration (UF).
  • Develop and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic
    and control sequences for treatment equipment.
  • Configure and maintain HMI and SCADA systems
    for real-time monitoring and control.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers
    to integrate automation into plant operations.
  • Monitor system performance
    and optimize control strategies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Support IT infrastructure
    related to automation systems, including networked devices and data logging.
  • Ensure compliance
    with local and international water treatment standards and safety protocols.
  • Train plant personnel
    on automation systems and provide technical support during

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.

Minimum
3 years of experience
in automation engineering, preferably in water or wastewater treatment plants.

Proficiency in
PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
and SCADA/HMI platforms.

Familiarity with
water treatment processes
such as UF, RO, chemical dosing, and sludge handling.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
