Job DescriptionThe Product Development Lead is responsible for driving the development and execution of ICT products within the Cyber Security/Cloud/BAS domains.
Reporting directly to the ICT Product Development Head, the Product Development Lead ensures that products are designed, developed, and launched successfully while meeting strategic goals, timelines, and customer requirements. This role focuses on coordinating cross-functional teams, leading product initiatives, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in line with the overarching product strategy. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProduct Development OversightProject Leadership: Lead and manage product development projects within the Cyber Security/Cloud/BAS domain, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
Scope Definition: Work with the ICT Product Development Head to define clear product specifications and requirements for new product development and feature enhancements. Product Execution: Ensure the effective execution of the product development lifecycle—from initial concept through design, development, testing, and release. Cross-Functional CollaborationTeam Coordination: Collaborate with ISDP, ISG, NTG, Marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on product requirements and timelines.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact between cross-functional teams and the ICT Product Development Head, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the product development process. Problem Solving: Address and resolve product development challenges, such as resource constraints, technical issues, and scope changes, ensuring smooth project delivery. Product Design & Quality ManagementTechnical Excellence: Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that the product is built to meet high technical standards and complies with relevant industry regulations and security protocols.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards through rigorous testing, validation, and iteration. Monitor bug fixes and technical refinements to ensure seamless product launches. Market Alignment & Customer FocusCustomer Insights: Stay informed of market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to ensure the product remains aligned with customer expectations and business objectives.
Feedback Loops: Implement processes to gather and analyze feedback from customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring that the product continuously improves post-launch. Risk & Issue ManagementRisk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the development process (timelines, resources, technical limitations) and implement strategies to mitigate these risks. Issue Resolution: Proactively address issues that arise during the development phase, including technical obstacles, resource limitations, and scope changes.
Performance Tracking & ReportingKPI Tracking: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product development, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines. Status Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to the ICT Product Development Head and other stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and achievements. Continuous ImprovementProcess Optimization: Contribute to the continuous improvement of product development processes, ensuring greater efficiency, innovation, and scalability across projects.
Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration, ensuring that lessons learned are captured and applied to future product development efforts. REQUIREMENTS5 years proven experience in product development, preferably in within the ICT / Telco industry. Proven experience in product management, preferably in ICT / Telco.
Proven track record of providing new and innovative solutions to enhance product lines; Deep understanding of customer needs and behavior in the ICT space. Experience leveraging customer insights to drive product development and enhance user experience. Familiarity with research administration is a plus.
Level of KnowledgeKnowledge of advanced principles of Product Lifecycle Management, business management, marketing and project management. Familiarity with one or more the following industry framework: ITIL, TMFORUM Frameworx, COBIT, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, IFRS 15, IFRS 16. Ability to conduct market analysis and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
