Operations Supervisor

Purpose of the Position:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Operations Supervisor is accountable and responsible for the supervision and implementation of the quarry or mine operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct daily toolbox meetings with operators and drivers regarding new information and concerns on mine/quarry operations.

2. Coordinate with the Maintenance Department about the availability and actual status of equipment units required for the day's operation.

3. Provide working programs for operators and drivers not limited to delivery of materials, but also in maintenance of loading areas, safety berms, haul roads, and dumping areas for safety purposes.

4. Line up of proper matching of equipment units to its designated area/activity.

5. Responsible for administering proper equipment application.

6. Meet the production requirement of the Client.

7. Supervise the overall operation by ensuring that work programs are being implemented with utmost regard to safety, environment, and efficiency.

8. Prepare the drill site for the next blasting schedule.

9. Coordinate with the Client's authorized representative about the scope of work.

10. Monitoring of materials delivered from the quarry to designated dump areas.

11. Continuous monitoring of operations until the end of the shift.

12. Turn over all necessary information to the next shift.

13. Timely reporting of incident during shift, reports should be submitted not more than twelve (12) hours after the incident.

14. Participate in the investigation of the incident.

15. Recommend operators and drivers for disciplinary actions for violating the rules and regulations of the company.

16. Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

1. Graduate of any related Engineering course, preferably licensed Engineer with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in mining/quarrying activities.

2. High Level of interpersonal skill and integrity;

3. Creative, forward thinker;

4. Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets

5. Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.

6. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

7. A reliable professional who follows organization and department procedures, and completes tasks promptly.

Willing to relocate in Iligan City
