We are seeking a Level 1 IT Helpdesk Support Specialist to act as the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues. In this role, you will provide essential troubleshooting, resolve day-to-day IT concerns, and escalate complex matters to higher-level support teams. This position is ideal for individuals with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a service-oriented mindset to ensure smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to IT requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, network, and account-related issues.
- Maintain accurate incident logs using platforms such as Freshdesk, Jira, or Zendesk.
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist with installations, updates, and configuration of software applications.
- Walk users through standard troubleshooting steps for common IT issues.
- Escalate unresolved cases to Level 2 support and follow through until closure.
- Track and monitor open tickets to ensure timely resolution and user satisfaction.
- Document recurring issues and suggest improvements to IT processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6 months–1 year of IT helpdesk or support experience preferred (internship/OJT also considered).
- Solid understanding of Windows and/or Mac OS environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, email systems, browsers, and basic networking.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, VPN, or remote access tools is an advantage.
- Exposure to ticketing platforms (Freshdesk, Jira, Zendesk, etc.) is a plus.
