Job Overview:

  • Manage the Company's strategic compliance with Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN), Congressional Franchise, policies, rules and regulations.
  • Manage the Company's representation before the National Telecommunications Commission, the Department of Information and Communications Technology and other agencies in the Executive Branch as may be relevant to the CPCN and the Congressional Franchise.
  • Determine prospective collaborations with other players in the telecommunications industry and the ICT stakeholders towards the development of the whole industry while protecting the interests of the Company.
  • Manage internal and external coordination for the purpose of compliance with existing policies, rules and regulations.
  • Represent the Company in all proceedings before the National Telecommunications Commission, the Department of Information and Communications Technology and other agencies as may be directed by the management.
  • Assist in resolving complaints and addressing fraud-related matters pursuant to existing policies, rules and regulations.

Functions:

  • Report regularly to the to Vice President, Regulatory and Government Affairs.
  • Supervise the officers within the function for: Licensing and Permitting, NTC Compliance, Telecommunications Regulations, Standards and Governments Affairs.
  • Keep the Company abreast of all development on relevant telecommunications policies, rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments or divisions to ensure compliance with the Certificate of Public Necessity and Convenience, Congressional Franchise and other laws, rules and regulations, and other issuances pertinent to the business of the company.
  • Attend or ensure representation during public hearings and other meetings to be called for by the National Telecommunications Commission, the Department of Information and Communications Technology and other relevant agencies relevant to business of the company.
  • Prepare, review or approve documents relevant to any proceedings before the National Telecommunications Commission, the Department of Information and Communications Technology and other agencies as may be directed by the management.
  • Approve any applications for permits and licenses that will be filed with the National Telecommunications Commission and other relevant agencies, such as the Optical Media Board.
  • Establish rapport with telecommunications industry players, stakeholders and represent the Company in any meetings or collaborations with them.
  • Ensure assistance to other departments and divisions in complying with existing telecommunications policies, rules and regulations and in making strategic decisions to serve the interest of the Company and its customers and subscribers.
  • Lobby for policies, rules and regulations to the benefit of the Company or the entire telecommunications industry.
  • Perform other functions as may be directed by the management.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Admitted to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
  • With at least ten (10) years of working experience
  • With at least five (5) years of management experience
  • With at least three (3) years of ICT or Telecommunications Experience
