A. JOB SUMMARY

To fulfill the educational requirements of new and existing staff, including the

new recruits and existing intermediaries of the Company. The Training Officer,

in collaboration with HR, should administer needs assessments, gauge skills shortages, and then address these through tailored training programs. To develop a general understanding of the various non-life insurance lines to provide high quality training.

B. KEY RESULT AREAS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To study and contribute to the operations and climate of our C ompany

  2. To develop and maintain a professional, dedicated training solution – to provide total coverage of all appropriate training needs

  3. To provide high quality training to internal and external clients

  4. To draft instructional manuals, onboarding materials, and other relevant documentation

  5. Tp review the existing and create new learning resources to support training programs, including but not limited to manuals, videos, blog posts, information guides, etc.

  6. To plan, create, and deliver different training programs (including webinars, online certificate courses, self-paced e-learning programs, etc.) to address the lack of skills and facilitate knowledge acquisition

  7. To research, reach out to, and manage relationships with external subject matter experts and/or consultants to supplement our training efforts

  8. To coordinate external training for the employees and intermediaries, as the need arises

  9. To prepare and conduct onboarding training sessions for new employees across different departments

  10. In collaboration with HR, to administer regular, detailed needs assessments to identify skills deficits

  11. To address skills deficits through tailored in-house training

  12. To ensure that training requirements are adequately specified and documented

  13. To maintain effective communication with intermediaries to establish training needs

  14. To evaluate the effectiveness of training and modify materials as appropriate

  15. Analyze the feedback from employees regarding different training programs to identify areas for improvement and implement relevant changes

  16. Conduct research and stay up to date on learning trends in the industry and recommend new training programs and learning management systems (LMS)

  17. To develop and maintain training material to the highest standards for internal and external courses

  18. To discuss any client training needs when necessary

  19. At the instance of Sales, to approach clients and tailor specific customer training courses to fit their specific requirements

  20. To ensure training provision meets customer requirements and is evaluated appropriately

  21. To establish the effectiveness of training

  22. To acquire feedback on the courses needed for future planning/management information

  23. To develop and maintain training material

  24. To maintain training material in line with changes

  25. To ensure that training materials are appropriate to employees' and intermediaries' requirements

  26. To design training materials that reflect company developments

  27. Organize and conduct the BNLI

27.1Prepare the poster invite and the email reminders to the registered participants

27.2 Prepare a summary of the enrollees recruited by the Area Sales Head, through website or social media account of the Company or the employees and agents of various agencies of FGen

27.3 Prepare the link to the 2-day BNLI Sessions and send this to all the registrants

27.4 Conduct the BNLI Sessions for two Saturdays

27.5 Send to the participants the PDF files of the handouts in the BNLI

  1. Coordinate with the BNLI participants as to who among them will take the IC Licensure Exam

28.1Register the examinee to the Online Agent's Computerized Examination (ACE) available schedule

28.2Advise the examinees regarding the exam schedule and their username, including the do's and don'ts during the online examination as contained in the IC Guidelines

28.3Inform the examinees about the schedule of the IC Licensure Review Session and Online ACE Walk Through

28.4Monitor the examinees if they have already registered to the IC Online ACE and if they have already received the link to the exam room

28.5Find out from the examinees their feedback on their exam

28.6Arrange for the pickup of the exam certificates upon receipt of IC's advice

28.7Email the examinees about the exam results attaching therein their exam certificate (cc: ASH of recruiting Branch)

  1. Organize other training courses as the case may be

29.1Prepare the poster invite and the email reminders to the registered participants

29.2Prepare a summary of the enrollees

29.3Prepare the link for the webinar

29.4Send to the participants the PDF files of the handouts

  1. For the employee attendees, prepare a Certificate of Attendance with a copy to HR

  2. Provide HR with the attendance record of the employee attendees

  3. Perform such other tasks as may be assigned to me by my superior from time to

time

C. QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree with an appropriate Business Science major is preferred

  2. Experience:


•Prior experience as a Training Officer, Training Administrator, or any similar position


•Qualification in instruction and/or learning design is advantageous

  1. Skills:


•Computer literacy in Application Software (Word, Excel, & Power point)

and keyboard skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Formal training qualification is desirable


• Ability to conduct thorough needs assessments, in collaboration with HR, to gauge training needs


• Strong research, presentation, and reporting skills


• Energetic, determined, and highly capable disposition


• Ability to process and present complex information in a clear and concise manner


• Knowledge of the latest training tools and methods and instructional design theory

  1. Basic Training Requirements:


•Formal training qualification is desirable


•Experience of the insurance industry is desirable


•Experience of designing, delivering and maintaining training materials is essential
