The opportunity

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities within your assigned territory, leveraging your technical expertise to engage with prospective clients
  • Conduct detailed needs assessments to understand client requirements and propose the most suitable solutions from our product portfolio
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, demonstrating the features, benefits and technical capabilities of our offerings
  • Negotiate contract terms and close sales, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for new clients
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional post-sales support and exploring opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our value proposition
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and sales strategies
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to showcase our products and services

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical sales or account management role, preferably within the technology or engineering industry
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a strong understanding of the sales cycle and negotiation strategies
  • Excellent technical aptitude and the ability to understand and explain complex products and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different client personas
  • Proficient in problem-solving, critical thinking and strategic planning to deliver customised solutions that address client pain points
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and a keen interest in continuous learning
  • Adaptable and collaborative team player, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in a technical discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend industry events as needed
  • Knowledgeable in LASER, Automation, and Test products is a plus.
