Construction Laborer – Job Description

Position Overview:

A Construction Laborer provides support on job sites by performing a variety of manual tasks to assist skilled workers, supervisors, and equipment operators. The role helps ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of construction activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading materials.
  • Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled workers as needed.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools (e.g., shovels, hammers, drills, grinders).
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barricades, and cleaning work areas.
  • Mix materials such as cement, mortar, or concrete as instructed.
  • Support in the installation of formworks, scaffolding, rebar, and other construction components.
  • Follow instructions from foremen, engineers, and supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, or hazards immediately.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.

Qualifications:

  • At least High School Graduate or equivalent (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in construction or related work is an advantage.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather and site conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php15,000.00 per month
