
Senior IT Project Manager and Scrum Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Project Manager/Senior Scrum Master. This dual role combines the strategic oversight and delivery management responsibilities of a Senior Project Manager with the agile leadership and facilitation skills of a Senior Scrum Master. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects and leading agile teams to deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
Position Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Manager:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and results to stakeholders and senior management.
Stakeholder Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives and expectations.
Facilitate project meetings, presentations, and status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively manage project changes, addressing issues and conflicts promptly.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.
As a Senior Scrum Master:
Agile Leadership:
Coach and mentor agile teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Team Empowerment:
Support the team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
Remove impediments and shield the team from external interference to ensure optimal productivity.
Agile Practices:
Guide the team and organization in adopting agile methodologies and best practices.
Ensure that Scrum processes are followed and improved over time.
Performance Tracking:
Track and analyze team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a transparent and accountable environment, encouraging feedback and open communication.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7 years of experience in project management and agile methodologies, with a proven track record of successful project deliveries.
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple, concurrent projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- [Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
