Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, providing guidance and support for daily operations.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and support professional development for team members.

Maintenance Oversight:

  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of all facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure that all work is performed to industry standards and complies with legislative and safety regulations.

Safety Management:

  • Develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff and contractors.

Budgeting & Cost Management:

  • Assist in the development and management of the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor expenses and make recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.

Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to achieve the best results.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and incidents.
  • Prepare reports for management on facility performance, maintenance issues, and budgetary matters.

Project Management:

  • Plan and manage facility improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their facility needs and develop solutions.

Customer Service:

  • Address facility-related inquiries and concerns from staff and visitors promptly and professionally.
  • Build positive relationships with all stakeholders to enhance the overall facility experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management or maintenance supervision.
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and facilities management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) is a plus.
