Overview:

Smart Outsourcing Solution (SOS) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of finance across our global operations. You will manage invoicing, payroll, tax compliance, and consolidated financial reporting for entities in the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Australia. We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional experienced in full-function accounting and multi-currency operations. This hybrid role offers excellent growth potential to Finance Manager / Controller within a dynamic, founder-led outsourcing company.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR)

• Manage supplier and vendor payments accurately and on time.
• Standardize and maintain client invoicing cycles (recurring and project-based).
• Automate invoice generation through accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
• Maintain receivables aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile client receipts and allocate payments across multiple entities.

Payroll & Government Contributions

• Process monthly payroll through HRIS, ensuring compliance with DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
• Integrate attendance, payroll, and invoicing workflows for employees under various employment models.
• Manage accruals for 13th month pay, unused leave, and other benefits.
• Prepare government remittance schedules and coordinate with external accounting partners as needed.

Payments & Treasury

• Oversee centralized client receipts and disbursements across multiple bank accounts (PHP, USD, AUD, HKD).
• Schedule and execute standard payment runs for payroll, statutory remittances, and vendor invoices.
• Maintain FX strategy and record translation adjustments for multi-currency reporting.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and rolling 3-month liquidity plans.

Financial Reporting & Management Accounts

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for management decisions.
• Support external audits and liaise with outsourced accounting partners.
• Maintain accrual-based bookkeeping aligned to international accounting standards.

Tax & Compliance

• Ensure accurate tax filings (VAT, Withholding, Income Tax) through external CPA partners.
• Prepare quarterly tax plans and maintain compliance calendars.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing documentation.
• Manage employee expense reimbursements and petty cash processes.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Implement automation for AR, reminders, and reporting workflows.
• Maintain and optimize accounting and HR system integrations.
• Introduce dashboards for management reporting (P&L, client margins, receivables aging).
• Support scaling of finance function, including training junior staff or AP/AR specialists.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5–7 years' experience in full-function accounting, ideally in outsourcing, shared services, or international business.
• Strong understanding of PFRS, tax compliance, and payroll systems.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Sprout, or similar platforms.
• Advanced MS Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, forecasting, data analysis).
• Experience in multi-currency transactions and consolidation.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent written and verbal English communication.

Performance KPIs:

• Timeliness and accuracy of monthly financial close and reporting.
• Zero non-compliance issues with statutory remittances and government regulations.
• Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) maintained within target.
• Accuracy of payroll and benefit accruals.
• Delivery of monthly management accounts within 7 working days of month-end.
