Assistant Project Officer – The Waypoints Project

Call for Application

The Waypoints Project is a multi-stakeholder initiative composed of maritime security specialists, practitioners, scientists, academics, and development workers. We work to strengthen civil maritime security institutions in the Philippines, enhance cooperation in the sector, and advocate for the effective use and protection of our marine resources amidst escalating regional challenges. We do this by way of fostering multi-sectoral discourse and providing research and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders.

We are looking for an
Assistant Project Officer
who will provide logistical, administrative and substantive support in the coordination and implementation of The Waypoints Project's activities.

Qualifications:

  • Filipino Citizen
  • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, and other related fields
  • ·Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • conduct background research and gather data on maritime security issues in the Philippines.
  • assist in drafting policy briefs, advocacy materials, and reports to support project goals.
  • support communication and collaboration with stakeholders to advance advocacy objectives.
  • maintain and organize project documentation, including records of meetings, reports, and correspondence.
  • support the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities in line with the work plan and objectives.

This is a Consultancy Position; hybrid work arrangement, but 80% onsite operations.

Start Date: November 2025
