Job Summary:

The Junior Product Development Officer assists in planning, creating, and developing new products from concept to production. This role ensures that all products meet company standards in quality, design, and market trends while coordinating closely with suppliers, designers, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products.
  • Support in conceptualizing and developing new product ideas aligned with brand direction.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure timely product development.
  • Prepare product samples, material swatches, and design specifications for review.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product details, costing, and revisions.
  • Assist in evaluating sample quality and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Help in tracking product development timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for material sourcing and pricing.
  • Participate in product testing, quality checks, and final approval before mass production.
  • Provide administrative support to the Product Development Manager as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or any related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in product development, merchandising, or related role (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic design tools (optional).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Creative thinker with an understanding of current market and product trends.

Work Environment:

Office-based with occasional fieldwork or supplier visits.

May work closely with design, marketing, and production departments.
