Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ETL/ELT Developer or Data Engineer to join our data management team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient, scalable data integration pipelines using top-tier technologies such as Confluent Kafka, Snowflake, SQL, and Python. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Responsibilities


• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from diverse sources into Snowflake.


• Develop and optimize data pipelines using Confluent Kafka to efficiently process and distribute large volumes of data.


• Write complex SQL queries and scripts in Python to manipulate, analyze, and report data according to business needs.


• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation of the data integration processes.


• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues on data integration processes and propose solutions.


• Document all data engineering procedures, systems, and ETL/ELT flows for maintenance and scaling purposes.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and businessanalysts, to support data-centric projects.


• Maintain a broad understanding of data management technologies and best practices, including Data Quality and Master Data Management, although these are not required skills.


• Create and deliver executive update to Heads and upper management

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.


• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and experience in database management and data warehouse design, particularly with Snowflake.


• Experience with Confluent Kafka or similar streaming data platforms.


• Experience with low code or ETL tools preferred (Snowflake, Talend, Informatica, etc)


• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and support data warehouses and data hubs.

Preferred Skills


• Knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Quality, and Master Data Management.


• Experience in cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).


• Familiarity with additional programming languages (Java).

Experience Levels


• 7 or more years of experience in data engineering.


• Expert in data architecture and complex data pipeline ecosystems.


• Leadership skills and experience mentoring junior engineers.
