Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines Healthway Cancer Care Hospital Full time ₱300,000 - ₱360,000 per year

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team in providing cancer care and/or promoting the wellness of patients. On a daily basis, you will identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems, recommend and monitor patient-specific drug therapy, assure safe and effective alternatives as appropriate, and oversee drug distribution. In addition, you will be involved in the operation and maintenance of a clean room facility alongside its related equipment. From time to time, you will also communicate timely and accurate drug information, and provide education to the general public, patients, students, and fellow healthcare workers on matters pertaining to safe and effective medication use.

  • Ensure medication management is safe, effective, timely, efficient, and in accordance with applicable laws and best professional practices.
  • Review medication for appropriateness and intervene with prescriber or follow up when necessary.
  • Ensure medications received by patients are identified for them, packed correctly and dispensed within target turnaround time.
  • Ensure all prescription, sales, supply, storage and distribution of medications, and documentation comply with legal requirements and relevant regulations established by the relevant authorities.
  • Ensure clean room activities, facilities and equipment comply with environmental, health and safety protocols to minimize risk.
  • Maintain qualification and operational standards of pharmacy's facilities and equipment through its timely testing, validation and certification.
  • May be asked to handle staffing/scheduling of IP/OP Pharmacy Department
  • Provide continuing education to the more junior pharmacy staff upon request or according to training plans and guidelines
  • Give back to the community by promoting health and well-being program.
  • May be asked to be part of the hospital committees related to pharmacy including but not limited to: Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, and Medication Safety Committee
  • To lead in inventory management of medicines, nutritional and supplies including: (1) Maintaining minimum quantity levels; (2) Ordering of inventoriable items, new items and patient access programs; (3) Maintenance and monitoring of dangerous drugs and other high alert medications including reporting to relevant government agencies; (4) Generate reports on a monthly basis on consumption and make recommendations on formulary list based on existing data; (5) Lead in monthly inventory count and stock takes and address variances, out-of-stocks, delays in procurement, etc.
  • Ensure compliance to all pharmacy-related standards and regulatory standards governing the practice of hospital pharmacy: (1) CGMP, GCP, GDP; (2) ISMP and JCI standards; (3) DOH and FDA Licenses and reports
  • Other duties that may be assigned or other ad hoc tasks and projects that may be assigned

Requirements

  • Registered and licensed pharmacist in the Philippines
  • Graduate of or units in Masters in Pharmacy / Clinical Pharmacy is an advantage
  • Must have at least 2 years of related experience in hospital pharmacy
  • Willing to work in Arca South, Western Bicutan, Taguig City
  • Willing to work in shifting schedules, which may include weekends and public holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php26, Php28,000.00 per month
