Job Title: General Accountant

Reports To: Chief Finance Officer

Job Level Required: Minimum of 3 years experience in Accounting Staff. Experience in a distributor company is an advantage. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A certified Public Account is an advantage.

Office Location: Cogon Ramos, Cebu City (landmark: near Sacred Heart Center)

• 30,000-40,000 monthly depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including but not limited to, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The General Accountant will work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Financial Statements:

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Reconcile Accounts:

Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial transactions.

Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable balances with supporting documentation.

Analyze Financial Data:

Analyze financial data and provide insights on variances, trends, and anomalies.

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for management as needed.

Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.

Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and provide explanations for variances.

Maintain Compliance:

Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations and ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and support during audits.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting function and contribute to the implementation of efficiency-enhancing initiatives.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

Work closely with other departments (e.g., procurement, operations) to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in accounting or related role.

COMPETENCY SKILL:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
