Job Summary

The Treasury & Cost Accounting Assistant supports both the treasury function and cost accounting operations of the organization. This role involves managing cash flows, assisting with bank reconciliations, monitoring liquidity, and supporting cost accounting tasks such as cost allocations, variance analyses, and inventory cost tracking. The position works closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficient use of resources.

Key ResponsibilitiesTreasury / Cash & Banking

  • Assist with daily cash management: monitor bank balances, cash inflows and outflows, and ensure liquidity for operational needs
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash position and projection reports
  • Process payments (e.g. wire transfers, checks, fund transfers) and ensure timely settlements
  • Perform bank reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and follow up on reconciling items
  • Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions; coordinate account maintenance, openings, closures, and fee negotiations
  • Record and post bank charges, interest, and foreign exchange adjustments
  • Support treasury policies and internal controls over cash handling
  • Assist in foreign currency transactions and hedging processes (if applicable)

Cost Accounting

  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of cost accounting records (e.g. BOM, standard costs, actual costs)
  • Allocate overhead, labor, and material costs to products/units using appropriate methods
  • Perform variance analyses (e.g. actual vs. standard cost variances) and prepare commentary
  • Assist in inventory valuation, including periodic reviews of stock and write-offs
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes relating to cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory
  • Collaborate with operations/production to gather data for cost inputs (usage, yields, wastage)
  • Generate cost reports and dashboards to support management decision-making
  • Assist with budget and forecast cost inputs

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional accounting certification preferred (e.g. CPA, CMA)
  • Treasury/finance certifications (e.g. Certified Treasury Professional) are a plus

Experience & Knowledge

  • 1–3 years (or more, depending on level) experience in accounting, finance, or treasury roles
  • Exposure to cost accounting in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS)

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: Php20, Php23,000.00 per month
