Job Summary:

The 
Fund Accounting Specialist
oversees and supervise day to day execution of accounting tasks for Mutual funds and Investment Management Accounts (IMAs). They ensures fair and complete financial statements that comply with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements and industry practices. They also liaised with internal and external auditors and complies with regulatory requirements, company and group policies; maintain compliance awareness.

Responsibility:

  • Prepare timely and accurate processing of daily Net Asset Values
  • Ensure that daily net asset value is optimally cleared, settled, reconciled, recorded, and reported within the prescribed standards and timeliness according to regulatory and internal standards
  • Prepare timely and accurate submission of Reports to Fund Manager and IMA clients
  • Ensure the books and records are accurate
  • Prepare operating expense disbursements
  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliations
  • Prepares regulatory reports
  • Prepares various audit requirements
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and company policies; maintain compliance awareness.
  • Update records and organizes documents
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Fund Accounting Manager
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required by the job.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in fund accounting
  • Thorough understanding of investment fund structures, financial instruments, and accounting principles.
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements governing investment funds, such as SEC or BSP regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in fund accounting software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
