Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Manager role located in Alabang or Davao (whichever is nearer to your location). The Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensure compliance with financial regulations in Europe (Norway), manage journal entries and fixed asset accounting, and support overall financial and accounting operations.

The role involves supervising a team, implementing efficient financial procedures and collaborating with other departments to achieve financial objectives, and managing development of Accounting processes and system.

Responsibities

Manage and oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Ensure compliance with Norwegian statutory and tax requirements (NGAAP, VAT, tax filings), as well as internal and group-level standards (IFRS or US GAAP if applicable).

Manage developments in accounting processes and systems — design, evaluate, and implement improvements or automation initiatives (e.g., ERP enhancements, Power BI, Power Apps, or process digitalization), with the help of the Accounting Team and IT.

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.

Prepare management reports and variance analyses; support budgeting and forecasting.

Collaborate with auditors, tax authorities, and other external partners.

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring knowledge of new accounting standards and system tools.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accounting Technology/Management. A Master's degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CISA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Must have a firm and assertive approach to enforcing policies and ensuring compliance.
  • With strong attention to details, coupled with the ability to challenge inconsistencies and enforce corrective actions
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, independence and professional skepticism
  • Excellent communication, analytical and reporting skills
  • A plus if with familiarity with MS Dynamics 365 - Business Central / Field Service or related software
  • Knowledge of the development of accounting software, processes and systems is advantageous
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive change and process improvement.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Can report to our ALABANG/DAVAO OFFICE from 3PM til 12Midnight PH time
