About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Treasury Head to lead and oversee the Bank's treasury operations. This leadership role is responsible for managing the bank's liquidity, funding, investment portfolios, and financial risk exposures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and the bank's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will provide vision, direction, and leadership to the treasury team, ensuring optimal capital and balance sheet management while driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    – Develop and implement the bank's treasury strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize liquidity, funding, and investment returns.
  • Liquidity and Funding Management
    – Oversee daily cash flow, liquidity positions, and funding strategies to ensure adequate resources for operational and strategic needs.
  • Investment Portfolio Management
    – Manage the bank's investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with market conditions, regulatory requirements, and profitability goals.
  • Risk Management
    – Monitor and manage interest rate, currency, and other financial risks; implement hedging and other risk mitigation strategies as appropriate.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    – Ensure full compliance with central bank regulations, statutory liquidity ratios, capital adequacy, and other treasury-related regulatory requirements.
  • Market Intelligence
    – Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities to support decision-making and anticipate risks or opportunities.
  • Team Leadership
    – Lead, mentor, and develop treasury staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    – Collaborate closely with senior management, business units, and external partners to support the bank's overall financial strategy.
  • Reporting
    – Provide regular reports on treasury performance, market developments, and financial forecasts to the Executive Committee and Board.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in banking treasury management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of money markets, fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives, and other treasury products.
  • Proven track record in liquidity management, funding strategies, and investment portfolio optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements governing bank treasury operations.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
