JOB SUMMARY: The Environmental, Social and Governance and Health & Safety Officer will support in leading, developing, implementing and managing the organization's environmental, social and safety programs & processes for the TPGI branch. It is to ensure maintenance of health, safety & security of the people and its company assets.

FUNCTION AND KEY DUTIES:

  • Conduct investigation of all near miss and/or accidents, prepares/collects information. Identifies hazards and risks found during inspections. Recommends corrections for violation seen and verifies corrective action.
  • Assist in monitoring the compliance with the HESS policies and guidance
  • Assist in conducting and facilitating security & safety awareness programs on a monthly basis
  • Undertake regular Health, Environment and Safety inspections of company facilities to ensure the continuation of appropriate Health, Environment and Safety measures
  • Assist in developing a Health, Safety & Security policies, programs and initiatives to ensure government and regulation compliance
  • Ensure that environmental policies are carried out in accordance with international/state regulations and company procedures
  • Assist government inspectors in the conduct of Safety and Health Inspection
  • Issue Work Stoppage Order (WSO) when necessary, based on the requirements and procedures provided by the Company and OSH Standards.
  • Serve as the Environmental and Social Officer of the branch.
  • Report to the head office any Environmental and Social related accomplishments and activities.
  • Function as the Pollution Control Officer (PCO), ensuring that the administrative regulatory requirements of DENR-EMB and any government office are submitted on a timely manner.
  • Assist in implementing environmental and social or community related development activities.
  • Such other duties that may be assigned from time to time in line with Environmental, Social and Health, Safety and Security activities.

QUALIFICATION(S)

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science courses.
  • This position requires at least two (2) years of work experience in a related field.
  • Completed 40-hour OSH Training in BOSH/COSH. Having LCM certificate is an advantage.
  • Having a DENR-EMB PCO Accreditation is an advantage.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
  • With ability to implement safety policies, guidelines and programs effectively.
  • Knowledge in Health Safety and Security government regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in writing reports and policies related to health, environmental and safety concerns, and issues.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Willing to be assigned outside Metro Manila: Trece Martires Cavite
