Litigation Lawyer

Job Purpose:

As a Litigation Lawyer you shall work closely with the Legal & Compliance Manager and CEO to strategize and contribute to the development of the organization's goals. You will be responsible for managing al litigation matters of the company, from drafting and filing pleadings to representing the company in court. This includes but is not limited to handling trial preparation, witness coordination, and provides legal advice on disputes and litigation risks.

The position involves direct representation before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies, as well as proactive management of legal risks, documentation, and case strategies. The litigation lawyer will ensure that al cases are efficiently handled and aligned with the company's legal and business interests.

Responsibilities:

• Handle and represent the company in all pending and future cases, including civil, criminal, and labor cases.
• Prepare, file, and respond to all pleadings, written statements, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents.
• Appear before courts, quasi-judicial bodies, and tribunals as the company's authorized representative.
• Work closely with internal departments (or clients) to gather evidence and prepare case materials.
• Support corporate and operational teams with legal risk assessment and dispute prevention.
• Make reports on legal activities, risks, litigation, or any documentations required by the company.
• Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical advice on litigation risks and strategy.
• Provide legal advice to the business and its leaders.
• Conducting legal training for the employees. Ensure al contracts, legal documents, and templates are up-to-date and compliant with statutory laws. Maintain updated knowledge of laws, procedures, and jurisprudence relevant to the company's business.
• Assist on corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company against legal risks and violations.
• Developing and leading internal audit and corporate compliance programs.
• Overseeing the delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies, and priorities.
• Design and oversee the company's policy and position on legal matters.
• Maintaining proper corporate interactions with the relevant local, state, and federal governmental bodies, legislatures, and the community at large.
• Lead some committees related to compliance if necessary.
• Perform field duties as assigned.
• Make sure that KPIs and KRAs in your position are met according to company standards.
• Ensures that he/she and team follows the protocols, laws, regulation, or policy in handling the job.
• Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Has passed the Bar Exam and a good standing member of Philippine Bar
• 3 to 5 years continuous practice in law, preferably in Litigation
• 2+ years relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house law department preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Good pleading writing and legal research skills
• Flexibility and willingness to navigate areas of unfamiliarity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment
• Strong Critical Thinking Skills
• Amenable to travel if necessary
