Health Safety Environment Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor HSE programs in all project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily site inspections; identify and report unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Lead toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and awareness activities.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers on safety plans and risk assessments.
  • Assist in incident investigations and prepare incident/accident reports.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE, safety signage, and site safety facilities.
  • Monitor environmental compliance including waste segregation and disposal.
  • Prepare safety statistics and monthly HSE performance reports.
  • Verify subcontractor compliance with project safety programs.
  • Support QA/QC teams during inspections and audits.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance site safety performance.
  • Perform other HSE-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field.
  • BOSH and COSH certifications – Required
  • Preferably a DOLE-accredited Safety Practitioner.
  • At least
    5 years of experience
    as a Safety Officer in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, DOLE guidelines, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and observation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and training abilities.
