Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer will support the holding company's strategic growth by
identifying, evaluating, and executing new business opportunities, partnerships, investments
across subsidiaries, and divestments. The role requires strong analytical, coordination, and
project management skills to ensure that new initiatives are aligned with the group's strategic
objectives and executed efficiently from planning to turnover.
BROAD FUNCTIONS
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Document defects with clear reproduction steps and severity ratings
Maintain manuals, quality procedures, and compliance records
Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory standards and internal policies
Prepare audit-ready reports and support internal/external quality audits
Track version control and change history of QA artifacts
Contribute to knowledge sharing by creating onboarding guides and QA playbooks
Business Development and Strategic Initiatives
o Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and
investments aligned with group strategy.
o Conduct/Facilitate feasibility studies, market research, and financial analyses
for new and existing projects.
o Support the development of proposals, business cases, and investment
recommendation papers for Management and Board approval.
o Collaborate with subsidiaries to identify synergies and cross-business
opportunities.
o Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts that could
impact the group's portfolio.
- Project Management
o Manage the implementation of approved projects from inception to
completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and performance
targets.
o Develop and maintain project charters, work plans, and progress reports.
o Coordinate cross-functional teams, external partners, and vendors to deliver
project milestones.
o Monitor risks, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate issues proactively to
Management.
o Support the turnover and transition of projects to designated business unit
leaders or operating teams.
- Cross-Group Coordination
o Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure compliance and due diligence for business initiatives.
o Facilitate alignment between subsidiaries and the holding company on
strategic direction, policies, and KPIs.
o Track and report the performance of ongoing projects and new business
ventures.
- Documentation and Reporting
o Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for Management and
ManCom review.
Maintain accurate records of business development activities, agreements,
and project documentation.JOB SPECIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics,
Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development, project
management, consulting, or corporate planning.
Experience in a conglomerate or holding company setup is an advantage.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research skills.
Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects or multi-company
initiatives.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of project
management tools preferred.
