Job Description

The Media Management & Social Impact Senior Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Rustan Coffee's mission of building meaningful connections with Starbucks customers through digital storytelling and brand expression. This position is responsible for producing and managing end-to-end digital content—from concept development and design execution to collaboration with third-party agencies—ensuring consistent alignment with Starbucks brand standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of digital assets (graphics, videos, animations) for social media, web, email, and internal platforms in line with Starbucks' Siren Brand Guidelines.

  • Execute minor creative requirements in-house and coordinate with external agencies for major campaign outputs.

  • Conceptualize and manage brand-aligned photoshoots, from creative planning to execution, ensuring all visuals adhere to Starbucks' aesthetic and storytelling goals.

  • Develop storyboards, shoot, and edit short-form video content tailored for digital channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and internal communications.

  • Craft engaging narratives across visual formats, infusing emotion and purpose into campaigns to resonate with both customers and Starbucks partners (employees).

  • Assist in conceptualizing creative direction for small-scale digital activations and ensure alignment with overall brand identity.

  • Write on-brand captions and messaging for content, maintaining a consistent tone across platforms and campaigns.

  • Lead assigned multimedia projects from briefing to delivery, managing timelines, approvals, and feedback loops.

  • Work closely with the Creative Marketing Manager (focused on in-store requirements) and broader marketing team to ensure cohesive storytelling across touchpoints.

  • Support the selection and management of external creative partners (e.g., photographers, video editors, creative agencies) for large-scale executions.

  • Stay updated on design, video, and digital media trends to continuously bring fresh ideas that elevate the brand experience.

Requirements (Portfolio presentation required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a multimedia, content creation, or creative design role with demonstrable experience across digital platforms.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro and familiarity with photography and basic lighting/editing techniques.

  • Strong design sensibility and storytelling skills.

  • Strong organization, time management, and multitasking capabilities.
