Senior Technical Business Analyst – Insurance Platform
Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm AEST (Sydney time)

Are you a technically strong Business Analyst with a passion for solving complex problems, shaping products, and delivering real impact for customers? We're looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our high-performing team and play a key role in designing, configuring, and delivering innovative insurance solutions on our industry-leading platform.

In this role, you will work closely with clients, developers, and project teams to translate business needs into functional solutions, guide end-to-end implementation, and ensure exceptional delivery across every project.

What you'll be doing

·       Gather, analyse and validate customer requirements, simplifying complex information and identifying true business needs.

·       Translate requirements into clear technical/functional specs, process documentation, and platform configurations.

·       Design and implement insurance product and claims data models, user interfaces, user journeys, and business rules using the platform's configuration and scripting tools.

·       Prepare and execute system and integration testing, support customer UAT, and ensure solutions meet agreed requirements.

·       Define data transformation and mapping needs for data conversion activities.

·       Facilitate workshops and discussions with technical and business stakeholders, creating strong written and visual documentation.

·       Manage customer queries during the project and coordinate with internal teams and third parties to ensure successful delivery.

·       Oversee project scope, timelines, risks, and change requests, maintaining up-to-date project documentation.

·       Collaborate with the development team on new platform features and enhancements.

What you'll bring

  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst, ideally in complex system environments.
  • Solid background in producing documentation such as business requirements, technical specifications, and process maps.
  • Commercial experience across both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Experience configuring or implementing large, complex software solutions.
  • Good understanding of relational databases.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Experience in general insurance (policy and/or claims) is highly desirable.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
