JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Asset Protection Specialist (Security Specialist) works with the Asset Protection Team in providing risk management consultancy services to internal and external clients. Projects include risk assessment, security systems design, development of security manuals, policies and procedures, review of security organizations, etc.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Asset Protection Specialist will be expected to perform a combination of any of the following functions:

  • Physical Security Risk & Vulnerability Assessment
  • Physical Security Audit
  • Design & Development of Physical and Electronic Security Systems
  • Security Force Management
  • Security Investigations
  • Project Management & Coordination
  • Client Relations & Business Development

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform security audits, reviews, inspections, and other similar assignments in line with projects under Asset Protection according to project requirements, company standards, and best practices;
  • Develop and implement comprehensive corporate security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect organizational assets.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of security measures, including physical barriers, surveillance systems, and access controls.
  • Monitor and analyze security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and security service providers, to address security issues.
  • Manage emergency preparedness initiatives, including drills, protocols, and crisis management plans.
  • Ensure compliance with security-related regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed security reports and analyses for senior management, including risk profiles and incident summaries.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Training & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years' professional experience, preferably in industrial or corporate security setting
  • Solid background, and experience in risk assessment, security audit, security systems, corporate security policies, crisis management, business continuity
  • Formal training and knowledge in various security standards, risk management, emergency response
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, communication tools, and other relevant software applications
  • Professional certification such as CSP, CPP, or PSP, is highly desirable
  • Knowledge in IT security and/or process audit an advantage

  • Very good verbal & written communication skills, able to interact with business personalities at various levels;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple time-bound projects, independently or with a team; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an excellent sense of teamwork and collaboration;
  • Possesses the ability and aspiration for professional development, and to grow into a valuable contributor to the team;
  • High level of personal integrity and professionalism;
  • Exhibits strong presence, self-confidence, poise, and professionalism;
  • Preferably able and licensed to drive 4-wheel vehicles
