About the Role

We are seeking experienced Credit Analysts to join our client's growing financial services team in Metro Manila. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit risk assessment, loan underwriting, and financial analysis, with the ability to support US lending operations.

This role is critical in ensuring high-quality credit decisions that balance business growth with risk management.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, and supporting documents of borrowers.
  • Perform in-depth creditworthiness assessments for business loans, secured loans, and MSME lending portfolios.
  • Evaluate collateral, repayment capacity, and overall risk profile of applicants.
  • Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments with recommendations for approval/decline.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, loan officers, and risk managers to ensure timely decision-making.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend corrective actions for early warning accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and client requirements.
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance credit evaluation efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–10 years of relevant experience as a Credit Analyst / Risk Analyst / Underwriter (preferably in NBFC, Banks, or Financial Services).
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial ratios, collateral evaluation, and lending practices.
  • Exposure to US lending/credit processes is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, and credit scoring tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare and present reports to stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work in US time zones.
