As a
Junior Underwriter
, you'll play a vital role in evaluating borrower eligibility, analyzing loan documentation, and ensuring compliance with U.S. lending regulations. You'll help deliver fair and accurate loan decisions-enabling customers to access credit responsibly while ensuring each loan file meets high standards of integrity and precision.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's Degree graduate
• 2-3 years of direct experience
  in the
  US mortgage or lending industry
• Solid understanding of
  US federal, state, and regulatory laws
  , including
  underwriting
  and
  compliance guidelines
  relevant to mortgage operations
• Hands-on experience in
  loan application review, processing, documentation, or underwriting
  for
  US-based clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  (Word, Excel, Outlook) for managing loan data and preparing reports
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of handling multiple loan files accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, lenders, and internal teams
• Detail-oriented, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness throughout the loan lifecycle

Your Daily Tasks

• Analyze credit, income, assets, contract, appraisal, etc.
• Research guidelines for all programs to ensure loan is processed to standards
• Ensure completeness of 1003
• Request Chain of Title from the title company and/or seller attorney during loan processing
• Apply knowledge of income calculations and TRID guidelines
• Create follow-up procedures for items requested on needs letters, appraisals, titles, and approvals
• Complete Clear to Close Audit for every file prior to submission to UW for CTC
• Ensure borrower understands conditions for closing
• Order subordination agreements upon receipt of appraisal and title
• Schedule closing date and time with borrowers, LO's, and title companies (if required)
• Examine refinance title commitments to verify borrower ownership, ensure property taxes are up to date, and confirm lien accuracy
