Job Overview Position: Junior Underwriter Employment type: Full‑time | Shift: Night shift | Work setup: On‑site, Ortigas Key Responsibilities Research guidelines for all programs to ensure loans are processed to standards Ensure completeness of 1003 forms Request chain of title from the title company and/or seller attorney during loan processing Apply knowledge of income calculations and TRID guidelines Create follow‑up procedures for items requested on needs letters, appraisals, titles, and approvals Complete Clear to Close audit for every file prior to submission to underwriting for CTC Order subordination agreements upon receipt of appraisal and title Schedule closing date and time with borrowers, loan officers, and title companies (if required) Examine refinance title commitments to verify borrower ownership, ensure property taxes are up to date, and confirm lien accuracy Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree graduate 2-3 years of direct experience in the U.S. mortgage or lending industry Solid understanding of U.S. federal, state, and regulatory laws , including underwriting and compliance guidelines relevant to mortgage operations Hands‑on experience in loan application review, processing, documentation, or underwriting for U.S.-based clients Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for managing loan data and preparing reports Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, capable of handling multiple loan files accurately and efficiently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, lenders, and internal teams Detail‑oriented, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness throughout the loan lifecycle Benefits & Compensation Day 1 HMO coverage with free dependent Competitive salary package Night differential pay to maximize earnings Prime office location in Ortigas (easy access to MRT stations, restaurants, and banks) Salary advance program through our banking partner (eligibility and approval subject to bank assessment, available to account holders with a minimum of 6 months company tenure) Unlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy courses (visit ) Free 24/7 access to our office gyms (Ortigas and Makati) with a free physical fitness trainer Exclusive Emapta Lifestyle perks (hotel and restaurant discounts, and more) Unlimited opportunities for employee referral incentives across the organization Standard government and Emapta benefits Total of 20 annual leaves to be used at your discretion (including 5 credits convertible to cash) Mentorship and exposure to global leaders and teams Diverse and supportive work environment About the Client Our client is a growing fintech company that simplifies and modernizes the lending process through smart, technology‑driven platforms.
