This role is responsible for leading day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Philippine tax laws, and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a strong background in general accounting, taxation, and government reporting.

This position requires a hands-on professional who can manage critical accounting functions, support internal and external audits, and guide junior team members. Familiarity with Philippine accounting and taxation standards is a must. General Accounting:Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.

Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts, including AR, AP, and fixed assets. Ensure accurate recording of transactions in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Taxation:Prepare, file, and ensure timely payment of all applicable taxes:Value-Added Tax (VAT)Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT)Final Withholding TaxIncome Tax Return (ITR)Percentage Tax (if applicable)Submit tax returns using eFPS/eBIRForms and maintain BIR-compliant records. Monitor BIR tax deadlines and ensure zero penalties.

Coordinate with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for assessments, audits, and other requirements. Stay updated on Philippine tax laws and issuances and interpret them for compliance and planning purposes. Statutory Compliance & Government Reporting:Ensure accurate reporting and timely remittance of contributions to:Social Security System (SSS)PhilHealthPag-IBIG FundAssist in the preparation of Alpha Lists and submission of Annual Information Returns (BIR 2316, 1604E, 1604CF, etc.).

Renew local business permits, coordinate with LGUs on local taxes, and ensure LGU compliance. Audit & Internal Controls:Assist in annual audits by preparing audit schedules and necessary documents. Support external auditors and respond to queries during audit engagements.Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Review and verify work prepared by junior accounting staff. Mentor and train new team members on accounting standards, tax compliance, and best practices. Coordinate with other departments for proper documentation and reconciliation of transactions.

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage, but not requiredMinimum of 3–5 years experience in general accounting and tax compliance in the Philippines. Strong knowledge of Philippine Tax Code, BIR regulations, and financial reporting standards (PFRS).

Proficient in eFPS, Alphalist Data Entry, and LOA/BIR audit handling. Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
