Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Product Compliance Associate who will take ownership of the company's product compliance function. This role ensures our products meet all regulatory, product-specific, and market-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations and standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers, external stakeholders, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Product and Regulatory Compliance

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of product compliance, including product design, labeling, and packaging requirements.
  • Ensure all products adhere to applicable regulations, standards, and directives.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulations and proactively update internal processes to maintain compliance.

Documentation and Record Management

  • Maintain organized documentation for each product, including certificates, test reports, and compliance declarations.
  • Regularly update compliance folders with accurate and complete information.
  • Evaluate supplier-submitted documents such as Full Material Disclosure (FMD), Certificates of Conformity, and Test Results, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.

Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Communicate compliance requirements clearly and effectively to suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve compliance issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance-related queries and decisions.

Platform-specific Compliance

  • Oversee compliance with platform-specific requirements (e.g., Amazon, other marketplaces).
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to CD Commerce's compliance standards across all sales channels.

Patent Research & Infringement Handling

  • Conduct patent and intellectual property research during product development.
  • Identify potential risks of infringement and flag them early in the product lifecycle.
  • Support the team in resolving infringement cases with external parties, legal counsel, or platforms when necessary.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to building scalable compliance processes and SOPs.
  • Leverage AI and advanced technologies in scaling the function.
  • Support internal training and knowledge-sharing to raise awareness of compliance standards, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with product compliance regulations and standards, including but not limited to:
  • REACH
  • RoHS
  • WEEE
  • CE Regulation (CE Marking)
  • GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation)
  • EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility)
  • Other EU Regulations and Standards
  • Understanding of compliance requirements across various industries.
  • Prior experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency and familiarity with compliance management software/tools is a plus.
