Store Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead the operations of our Department Store. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of store management including inventory, staff, sales, customer service, and compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring the store runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of freshness, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments (e.g., produce, grocery, dairy, meat, bakery).
- Drive sales and meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead and supervise a team of department heads, supervisors, and frontline staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock availability and freshness.
- Implement effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Oversee staff scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
- Analyze sales reports and take corrective actions to improve performance.
- Prevent loss and shrinkage through effective inventory control and security measures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Department Manager in a Department Store retail environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Good understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with POS systems, store management software, and MS Office tools.
- Customer-centric approach with a problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
