Overview

We're seeking an experienced and hands-on SEO Specialist to optimize the our websites for visibility, searchability, and long-term growth. This role will work directly with the web developer and marketing lead to improve on-page and technical SEO, build a solid foundation for content ranking, and increase qualified organic traffic. The ideal candidate is strategic, data-driven, and collaborative.

Primary Objectives

  • Improve search engine rankings for high-intent, relevant keywords.
  • Ensure the website meets technical SEO standards.
  • Optimize existing pages and guide the creation of new SEO-rich content.
  • Support lead generation and user growth by increasing discoverability.

Key Responsibilities

Keyword Strategy & Content Planning

  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-value, low-competition terms.
  • Create a keyword strategy aligned with audience and purpose.
  • Develop and maintain an SEO content plan (page topics, target keywords, structure).

On-Page SEO Optimization

  • Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, and internal linking structure.
  • Audit and improve existing content for readability, keyword usage, and engagement.
  • Guide creation of blog content or informational pages (where applicable).

Technical SEO & Collaboration with Web Dev

  • Conduct technical audits to assess page speed, crawlability, mobile optimization, schema markup, etc.
  • Recommend and implement fixes in collaboration with the web developer.
  • Set up or refine sitemaps, files, canonical tags, and page indexing strategies.

Analytics, Monitoring & Reporting

  • Set up and monitor performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO tools.
  • Track keyword ranking progress and organic traffic trends.
  • Provide monthly performance reports with recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO strategy (preferably for content-based or platform startups).
  • Strong understanding of Google's ranking factors and algorithm updates.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GSC, GA4).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with developers and marketers.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Comfortable providing feedback to both content creators and developers.
  • Strategic mindset with attention to both technical and content SEO.
  • Experience working with platforms built on Webflow, WordPress, or custom stacks.

  • Increase in organic search traffic (measurable monthly growth)
  • Improvement in target keyword rankings (top 10 within 3–6 months)
  • Reduction in site errors and improved core web vitals
  • Higher engagement rates and lower bounce rates from organic visitors
  • Improved site health score (based on regular audits)
