Job Summary

The Assistant Management Accountant supports the Management Accountant by preparing and analyzing financial data to aid in business decisions. This role involves detailed tracking of inventory, costing, and financial transactions, and contributes to financial planning, budgeting, and compliance reporting. It requires collaboration with logistics, tax, and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data processing.

Responsibility

  • Coordinate with logistics on inventory count schedules and reconcile results (KPI: Inventory variance within acceptable limits, e.g., ±2%).

  • Prepare costing sheets based on actual import documents and system data; post related service invoices (KPI: 100% of cost sheets submitted within 2 working days of document receipt).

  • Analyze and validate data accuracy related to inventory movements (KPI: Zero unresolved discrepancies in monthly reconciliation).

  • Prepare reconciliations and initial gross profit calculations (KPI: 100% accuracy on reported variances; reports delivered per schedule).

  • Assist in identifying tax impacts and ensuring compliance (KPI: Zero non-compliance findings on reports audited for tax accuracy).

  • Suggest process or control improvements (KPI: At least 2 implemented improvement suggestions per year).

  • Support other team members and assist in cross-functional tasks (KPI: Positive peer feedback or participation in at least one cross-department project per quarter).

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Accounting Standards, Tax Laws, and Finance Principles

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy; CPA/CMA is a strong advantage

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in general accounting, costing, or finance analysis roles

  • Certifications: CPA or relevant certifications preferred

  • Strong Analytical, Costing, and Organizational Skills

  • MS Office / ERP Accounting Software Proficiency
