Airfreight Pricing & Coordination Specialist
In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for managing carrier rates, crafting accurate quotations, and keeping clients and agents connected every step of the way. What You'll Do:
Rates Management
- Enter, maintain, and update rates from carriers and suppliers in
CargoWise
and internal rate sheets. - Ensure all pricing is accurate, complete, and reflective of current market conditions.
- Monitor carrier surcharges (fuel, security, etc.) and local charges to keep rates current.
Quotation Management
- Compile rate information from carriers and agents to prepare accurate customer quotations.
- Deliver quotes within an average of
3–4 hours
turnaround time, ensuring high precision and completeness. - Apply
IATA rules, tariffs, and standards
to ensure quotes are compliant with international airfreight guidelines. - Maintain a clear audit trail of quotes, including validity periods, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
Agent & Client Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison between sales, clients, and overseas/local agents.
- Respond to customer inquiries via email promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to confirm space availability, service options, and rate applicability.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and agents to support long-term partnerships.
Contract & Compliance Management
- Oversee contract terms with carriers and agents, ensuring agreed conditions are met.
- Support renegotiation of rates and agreements in line with market changes.
- Ensure all quotations, bookings, and contracts are compliant with **IATA standards**, international trade regulations, and company policies.
What You Need:
- Intensive experience in airfreight pricing, operations, and coordination
within freight forwarding or carrier environments. - Strong knowledge of
IATA regulations, tariffs, and industry standards
. - Experience as a
Logistics Coordinator (Air/Sea)
or in a freight forwarding / airfreight pricing role. - Proven track record in:
-Shipment tracking & management
(import/export, multiple locations).
-Customs documentation coordination
** for international shipments.
-Daily shipment coordination
, ensuring deadlines and client requirements are met.
-Carrier management
, including rate negotiations and compliance oversight.
-Compliance management
across trade regulations and company SOPs.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in
English (C1 level)
, both verbal and written. - Client management and customer-facing experience is a plus.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with numbers under time pressure.
