1. Process Analysis and Improvement

  • Study and evaluate current production processes to identify opportunities for improvement in workflow, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement time and motion studies, work measurement, and line balancing activities.
  • Recommend process modifications, layout improvements, or equipment enhancements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.

2. Production Planning and Optimization

  • Collaborate with the Production and Planning team to improve scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
  • Analyze production data to determine bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
  • Help ensure that production output meets customer delivery requirements while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Participate in the implementation of productivity and cost-saving programs.

3. Time Study and Work Standards

  • Conduct time and motion studies for each operation to determine standard time and manpower requirements.
  • Establish and maintain production standards and performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor adherence to established time standards and recommend adjustments when necessary.
  • Prepare reports on productivity, manpower utilization, and process performance.

4. Layout and Facility Improvement

  • Design and recommend efficient plant layouts to ensure smooth workflow and space utilization.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance and Engineering teams for layout changes or new equipment installations.
  • Ensure that workstation and material flow designs support safety, ergonomics, and production efficiency.

5. Cost Analysis and Efficiency Monitoring

  • Conduct production cost analysis to identify sources of waste (materials, time, energy).
  • Recommend process changes or system improvements to reduce operational costs.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as machine utilization, yield, and efficiency.
  • Support management in decision-making by providing technical and analytical reports.

6. Coordination and Documentation

  • Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance to address process-related issues.
  • Document process flows, work instructions, and productivity improvement reports.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new projects or customer requirements.

Support ISO, FSC, and other certification compliance through process documentation and improvement tracking.
