The Production Head oversees all food manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role manages production teams, develops and implements production plans, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with GMP, HACCP, and company standards. The Production Head collaborates with QA, R&D, Engineering, and Supply Chain to optimize processes, reduce waste, and achieve production targets. They also drive continuous improvement initiatives, resolve operational challenges, and maintain a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily production operations, ensuring targets are met.
  • Develop production schedules, allocate resources, and monitor workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with QA, R&D, Engineering, and Supply Chain for process optimization.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction programs.
  • Manage and coach production teams, including performance management and training.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Prepare production reports, KPIs, and operational metrics for management review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in production planning, process optimization, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
