  • Transportation:Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods, materials, equipment, and personnel between locations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
  • Logistics & Planning:Plan and execute efficient delivery and pickup routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication:Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
  • Loading/Unloading:Load and unload cargo as needed, assisting with materials, equipment, or supplies.
  • Customer Service:Interact professionally with clients and vendors, providing excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Driver's License: A valid and current driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven.
  • Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Vehicle Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific types of vehicles used, including basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Traffic Laws: Strong knowledge of all local and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Route Planning: Ability to plan routes and use navigational aids or technology efficiently.
  • Communication: Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and handle heavy items as required for the role.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in record-keeping and ensuring accuracy in deliveries.
