The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the frozen meat trading business, including logistics, inventory management, cold storage, supply chain coordination, and compliance with food safety standards. This role ensures efficient workflow, timely deliveries, and product quality while optimizing operational costs and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire operations process—from procurement, cold storage, inventory, to distribution of frozen meat products (chicken, pork, beef).
  • Supervise and manage cold storage facilities, ensuring proper temperature control, cleanliness, and product handling according to food safety standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and customers to ensure timely delivery and proper stock replenishment.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
  • Lead and supervise warehouse and logistics staff, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and sanitation standards such as NMIS, FDA, and LGU requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of storage and delivery equipment to ensure functionality and hygiene.
  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare operational reports for management, highlighting performance metrics, challenges, and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations, logistics, or cold chain management, preferably in the food or frozen meat industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, cold chain logistics, and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in HACCP or other food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with POS or warehouse management software.
