Job Summary:

Responsible for smooth operations of all equipment and machineries to ensure continuous production operations. Provides efficient equipment & facility solutions spanning from planning and execution of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance programs, recommending cost efficient engineering solutions and coordination of engineering related activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance for all machineries/ equipment and plant/ building facilities. These include but not limited to air conditioning units, compressors, pumps, piping systems, motors, pneumatic systems, instrumentations, and other production related machineries.
  2. Responsible for maintenance and repairs of plant structures and building facilities. Organizes overall maintenance of building including carpentry/ construction works, plumbing, electrical works and repainting of building structures.
  3. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and execution of Calibration Programs for production equipment and instruments. Maintain calibration records. Includes coordination with accredited Calibration Laboratories for planning and scheduling of calibration activities and other needed preparations.
  4. Develops cost effective and strategic plan for cost-reduction and optimization of machineries. Designs and plans for improvement and installation of new manufacturing machineries and equipment.
  5. Evaluates breakdown problems, draws up plans, and schedules activities for efficient maintenance procedures and methods. Conducts root cause analysis if necessary.
  6. Controls and monitors maintenance supplies. Ensures that maintenance tools machine spare parts and consumables are readily available. Maintains records of inventory and monthly maintenance expenses.
  7. Prepares budget for maintenance and repairs, machine improvements/ modifications, and materials/ supplies expenses every fiscal year.
  8. Coordinates with contractors (if needed) with regards to improvement, modifications, installation and repairs of production equipment/ instruments or plant/building facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer
  • Preferably with work experience related to the post in any manufacturing firm; Newly Board Passer(s) will be considered.
  • Knowledgeable in computer aided engineering programs and understands engineering principles and drawings.

  • Knowledge in machine shop practices such as welding and fabrication including industrial motor controls

  • Must be willing to work in Calamba, Laguna
