Quick Rundown:

The Data Engineer II will play a key role in fostering a dependable data foundation, strategically facilitating corporate decision-making. This will be achieved through an understanding of business needs, securing appropriate data sources, strategically designing usable data models, and building robust and dependable data pipelines that deliver trustworthy data for enterprise-level applications, systems, business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.

What You'll Do:

• Strategy & Planning

• Support long-term data platform strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders.

• Develop short-term tactical solutions aligned with platform goals
• Utilize data to optimize supply chain analytics (forecasting, demand planning, inventory, SKU assortment, pricing)
• Establish governance for metadata accuracy, data quality, and continuous improvement

• Contribute to master data and reference data management

• Acquisition & Deployment

• Ensure successful enterprise application rollouts (ERP, SCM, CRM, PLM, WMS) by managing reliable data

• Operational Management

• Develop and optimize high-performance data processing systems (batch, micro-batch, streaming)

• Design scalable data models for BI, reporting, analytics, and machine learning
• Evaluate and integrate tools, software, and systems for data technology
• Manage data mapping, movement, and analytics to ensure high data quality
• Support enterprise data initiatives and resolve complex data integration issues.
• Establish rigorous testing to ensure data integrity and performance
• Document and maintain the data platform, identifying opportunities for optimization

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
• Certifications in Data Architecture/Engineering (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Data Science Council of America) preferred.
• Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Data Analyst Certification a plus.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, database administration (DBA), or software development (Python, Java, .NET).
• Proven expertise in DataOps, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements analysis.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data; specific knowledge of Centric PLM is highly desirable.
• Strong SQL proficiency (3+ years) with relational, object, and graph data structures.
• Hands-on experience with database platforms (Azure SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Skilled in Tableau for dashboards, data visualizations, reports, semantic layers, and data marts.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, web services, microservices, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with metadata management, master/reference data, and data governance processes.
• Strong analytical ability to validate, interpret, and communicate data-driven insights.
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and modern data processing methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
