OSP Engineer

Job Scope:

• The Facility engineer is the one who are specialized in the Outside Plant Facility and required to work as an in charge in Preparation of Engineering Plans such as CEP, Underground and Aerial cabling.
• Plans and prepares drawings for construction of new, and removal or rearrangement of existing, overhead or underground cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.
• Prepares As Built Drawing, Fold out plans for Underground and Aerial Cabling Installations
• Prepares detailed construction and installation drawings, estimates equipment, labor, and material costs as needed.
• Initiates work authorization request and submits request with substantiating drawings and documents to management for approval.
• Orders materials and equipment required and directs work activities to ensure conformance with engineering specifications and work authorization.
• Prepares Splicing Plans of fiber needed for the projects.
• Conduct Audit of Facility in order to determine status/condition that may affect the operations.
• Attend to other tasks that may assigned to from time to time
• ·Plan delivery of the project – implementation of daily work and utilization of resources available
• Oversees the efficient execution of drilling activities to ensure operations run
• Responsible for ensuring proper use and maintenance of drilling
• Secures Detailed Design Plan and Permits documents needed for implementation.
• Prepare bill of quantities and bill of materials considering Project cost.
• Conducts staking or site inspection before starting the implementation.
• Secures justification and documentation in all changes with cost implication based on actual situation.
• Conducts Site audit or Pre Pat before requesting an acceptance to the client.

Qualifications:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe, AutoCAD 2015/16/17
• Must have a basic understanding and working knowledge of OSP Engineering, Design and Construction.
• Ability to use online resources to gather and utilize information for route planning, such as GIS, Google Earth, etc.
• Strong organizational, written and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in team-based and fast paced work environment.
• Graduate of Civil Engineering
• Telco background is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in road construction, horizontal directional drilling,
• Knowledge in different type of mud mixing fluids (water base mud, oil base mud, completion fluids, etc.)
• Knowledge in MS Office and other applications required in creating and submitting
• Must be willing to be assigned in the site all over the Philippines
• Can able to drive with valid driver's
• Knowledge both Engineering and implementation on HDD activity.
• Knowledge in Civil considering MH fabrication, EE Pits and Horizontal Directional Drilling.
