  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and confirm order details.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in forecasting needs to avoid shortages and overstock situations.
  • Perform supplier evaluations and maintain an updated list of approved suppliers.
  • Assist in resolving any procurement-related issues, including discrepancies in orders or invoices.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, trends, and savings for management review.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the purchasing department, including filing and documentation.
  • Maintains harmonious relationship with the SBMA, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensures that all processes, guidelines, policies, and procedures within the Department are properly documented and strictly enforced or implemented.
  • Ensures that all personnel adhere to or strictly follow the guidelines, policies, and procedures that are part of a comprehensive safety program.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Department Head.
