UCT is looking for a talented
Quoting Specialist I
to join us in
Cebu
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtain competitive component pricing from supply base for the purpose of providing quotes and proposals to our customers.
  • Organize Bills of Material, conduct searches in databases and analyze requirements.
  • Conduct meetings with quote requesters to clarify product information.
  • Initiate and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
  • Initiate cost-reduction activities to improve company profitability.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, New Product Introduction, Sales, Engineering and Commodity Management to meet customer expectations.
  • Analyze vendor quotes for correctness and reasonableness.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.
  • Purchasing/Materials/Material Analyst background preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in cost-reduction, material cost analysis, and generation of material RFQs.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, and perform to, complex requirements.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with identified prioritization.
  • Ability to use ERP estimating systems such as SAP, Visual, Vista, Oracle, etc. and Microsoft suite: Excel, Word and Access.

Educational/Certification Requirement
:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or supply chain management preferred.

Experience Requirement:

  • 3+ years relevant quoting & or estimating experience, with significant materials related technical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in capital semiconductor equipment industry preferred.
