Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the financial activities of the bakeshop, ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of financial transactions. This role is responsible for maintaining internal controls, managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory costing.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management decision-making.

  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and revenues to ensure profitability.

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets.

  • Handle BIR/tax compliance, government reporting, and statutory requirements.

  • Coordinate with external auditors, suppliers, and banks when needed.

  • Manage store cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales reports from branches.

  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets and provide variance analysis.

  • Guide and mentor accounting staff in daily tasks and performance improvement.

  • Support management with financial insights for business strategies and expansion plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field (CPA preferred).

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager, preferably in food, retail, or bakeshop/restaurant industry.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • High integrity and attention to detail.
