Job Summary:
The HR Assistant provides support in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. The role involves assisting in recruitment, timekeeping, HRIS management, employee relations, and other HR functions to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Prior experience in the construction industry is an advantage but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Selection
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and shortlisting candidates for various positions.
- Coordinate interview schedules with applicants and department heads.
- Prepare pre-employment requirements and assist in onboarding of new hires.
Timekeeping & HRIS
- Monitor and validate employees' attendance, absences, and overtime using manual records and HRIS.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of daily and monthly timekeeping reports.
- Coordinate with Accounting/Payroll for payroll processing.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS.
Employee & Labor Relations
- Provide assistance in handling employee concerns and grievances.
- Assist in the preparation of notices, memorandums, and other HR-related documents.
- Support the implementation of company policies, code of discipline, and labor regulations.
- Help coordinate employee engagement activities and programs.
General HR Support
- Maintain employee 201 files and ensure confidentiality of HR records.
- Prepare HR reports, forms, and correspondence as needed.
- Assist in compliance with statutory requirements and government-mandated reports (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE).
- Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned by the HR Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Preferably with at least 1 year of HR experience (experience in the construction industry is an advantage but not required).
- Knowledgeable in recruitment, timekeeping (manual & HRIS), and basic labor relations.
- Familiarity with Philippine Labor Laws and government-mandated benefits.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
