Financial Planning

The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will lead the FP&A team and oversee all financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis activities. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to drive key business decisions by providing insightful financial analysis and helping shape the company's financial strategy. This position requires a highly analytical mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Financial Planning & Budgeting: Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals. Lead the development of financial forecasts, working closely with department heads to gather input and ensure accuracy. Ensure the company's financial plans are well communicated and understood by key stakeholders.

Financial Analysis & Reporting: Drive in-depth financial analysis and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare variance analysis reports to explain budget vs. actual performance, identifying causes of deviations and recommending corrective actions. Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and financial modeling to support decision-making.

Decision Support & Business Partnering: Collaborate with functional leaders (e.g., marketing, operations, sales) to provide financial insights and recommendations that support business objectives and drive performance. Support business cases for capital investments, new product launches, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives. Advise on key financial metrics and KPIs that align with business goals and monitor performance against those metrics.

Financial Systems & Tools: Continuously improve FP&A processes, financial models, and forecasting tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and business insights. Ensure the effective use of financial systems and software (e.g., ERP, budgeting, and forecasting tools) to support FP&A activities. Promote the use of automation and data-driven decision-making throughout the FP&A function.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Present key financial insights, forecasts, and performance reports to senior leadership and board members in a clear, actionable format. Effectively communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders to aid in decision-making and business strategy. Lead discussions around financial performance, making recommendations for corrective actions where necessary.

Risk Management & Governance: Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Ensure financial planning and analysis activities comply with company policies, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications: CPA Preferred A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent knowledge of financial analysis techniques, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar tools).

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong business acumen and the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights for business decision-making.
