About the role:

  • Night shift

·       Administer and manage Google Cloud Platform services and infra, supporting solutions including BigQuery, Bigtable and Compute Engine

·       Collaborate with data architects to maintain scalable and efficient GCP environments tailored to company's data handling and analysis needs

·       Provide tier-2 support to ensure continuous service availability and performance

·       Work with reporting analysts to optimize data flows, queries and storage

·       Configure and maintain security groups, firewall rules and other network security measures (isolation and segmentation) to prevent unauthorized access with guidance from the IT Network Engineering and Security Teams

·       Manage data encryption methods both at rest and in transit with guidance from the Security team

·       Automate common operations and deployments tasks using scripting languages and GCP automation tools

Job Qualifications

·       Proven experience as a cloud administrator, specifically with Google Gloud Platform services

·       Understanding of core network security concepts such as network segmentation (VLANs, subnetting) and access control (Firewalls, ACLs) and how to apply those concepts in a Google cloud environment

·       Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)

·       Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with database administration

·       Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash for automation tasks
